The Hoeko Valley is situated about 15 km outside Ladismith and is well known for its export quality fruit which include figs, nectarines, peaches, apricots, almonds, grapes and citrus. The Valley lies at the foot of the Klein-Swartberg Mountain range which creates the ideal conditions for the production of a vast variety of fruit and is also the catchment area that water is sourced from.

This farm produces fruit for the export market and has a contract with STEMS but also pack locally for Star South. Varieties include Imperial/Palsteyn (apricots), Angeleno, Harry Pickstone, Leatita, Songold, Ruby Crunch, Suplum, Fortune (Plum) and many more.

5 Storage dams with a combined capacity of 169 607 cubic meter allows 34 ha to be irrigated at 5000 cub meter per hectare when the dams are full. Water usage for 40 ha is listed at the Hoeko Irrigation Board which is currently in the process of re-registration at the Breede-Gouritz Catchment Management Agency (BGCMA).

The large 5-bedroom Victorian style main house with original features, comfortable 3-bedroom manager’s cottage, bachelor’s flat, office and garage all form part of the homestead and share a large lush garden and lawn. The main house has wooden floors and ceilings and a portion of the attic has been converted into a loft that is used as a private office.
