St Francis Links has proudly been awarded the TOP CLUB recognition award for 2019/2020. The award is based upon the submissions from clubs throughout South Africa on the issue of good governance and environmental compliance. St Francis links came out ahead of all other clubs in South Africa in 2021, which is a remarkable achievement and reflects the respect the club has amongst its peers and is a credit to the entire team responsible for delivering an outstanding experience to all who visit and use the many facilities available. The actual announcement of the award was on World Environmental Day (WED) 5 June 2020, resulting in the St Francis Links being featured on the international stage.

The recognition just keeps rolling in given the overall quality of the Estate and the outstanding efforts made by the staff who are responsible for delivering the standards that are set and maintained. The team is led by Jeff and Liezl Clause who ensure the Links exceeds the expectations of all visitors. Charl Blaau ensures that the course is in world class condition.

In October 2021 the course was recognised as the Best Course in SA by the World Golf Awards in Dubai. The South African PGA golf tournament was awarded to the Links on a three year contract in November 2021, to date, two of these have been successfully run with growing support. Recently the DP World Tour in association with the Sunshine Tour announced that the St Francis Links will host one of two new events from the 16th to the 19th March 2023. These events will take on greater significance on the global stage as they offer Ryder Cup points for European professionals competing in a Ryder Cup year.
